The treatment itself has only a little discomfort, which is forgotten before you even leave the clinic. Plus its over a lot quicker than most imagine as the laser doesnât target each individual follicle. On body areas a 18mm spot size is used so the underarm area can be treated in just 15-20 minutes.
After your treatment the area could be red for a while (an hour or so max), this is because as the laser energy heats up the follicles, the residual heat then travels through the skin to the surface to escape. Some can get a histamine reaction but again this settles quickly. Worse case scenario… you look like a freshly plucked chicken briefly , but mostly the bigger the reaction the better the effect!
